(Matthew 24:36) “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
Does the bible say anything about “Believers” knowing the time of Jesus’ return to come for them?
Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:1 that he didn’t need to write to them about when Jesus will return, he says that they will know.
(1 Thessalonians 5:1) Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:2) For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
(1 Thessalonians 5:3) While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
(Luke 21:29) And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.
[The fig tree is Israel – Israel was reborn May 14, 1948]
(Luke 21:30) As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near.
(Luke 21:31) So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
(Luke 21:32) Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place.”
[The generation is alive today – See Psalm 90 for timespan]
Psalm 90 was written by Moses
(Psalms 90:9) For all our days pass away under your wrath; we bring our years to an end like a sigh.
(Psalms 90:10) The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.
