Overview:
The Mark of the Beast is defined in the Microsoft Patent WO 2020/060606 A1.
Note* A 1 – biological/machine – instead of AI.
It states that sensors in the human body will interpret human thought, relay this information to a central computer and affect the persons crypto-currency and social credit score based on the degree of conformity to standards established by a world “government”.
What is omitted from the patent is the “payload” from accepting the mark will change the human DNA, introduce invasive technology into a person stripping them of their individual sovereignty and create eternal separation from God our creator.
What role does it play in the “Last Days”
The purpose of this synopsis is to crystallize the significance of the Mark of the Beast.
At the time of this writing, people have before them two choices.
Choose Salvation through Jesus Christ, or reject Christ.
Very soon the imminent rapture/harpazo/catching up – will take place. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ will be instantly removed from the earth.
Then the choices will be accept Jesus Chris (which will bring harsh persecution and eternal life) or accept the Mark of the Beast (eternity in hell).
Then the greatest revival in the history of the world will begin. Many will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The bible tells us God will seal 144,000 –
(Revelation 7:3,4) Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
These will evangelize the world to bring the world to salvation through Jesus Christ.
At the mid point of the Tribulation, the Antichrist will enter the 3rd Temple and demand the world to worship him and the Beast and to take the Mark of the Beast.
What does satan have to gain from this?
Satan hates God. Satan hates God’s creation. Satan hates “Man” more than anything else that God has created.
As long as a person is breathing, they can accept Jesus Christ. The most famous example of this is the thief on the cross.
Scripture does tell us about the “unpardonable sin”. This writing is not about that. The percentage of the human race that may have committed the “unpardonable sin” is not on par with the topic at hand.
Satan wants people to take the Mark of the Beast.
Anyone who receives the mark shares in these attributes.
They can buy and sell:
Revelation 13:7 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
They are damned to hell for eternity:

This is the greatest goal of satan. If satan persuades someone to take the Mark of the Beast, they can not be saved. There is no deathbed salvation. There is no hope.
Why is knowledge of the Mark of the Beast important, especially before the rapture of the church?
It is the greatest warning to all those who are left behind. Every believing christian should warn everyone they know not to take the Mark of the Beast. The 144,000 will warn people not to take the Mark of the Beast.
God will dispatch three angles to all of earth to warn mankind, and the third of these angels warns against taking the Mark of the Beast.

It is realistic that should the rapture happen today, that in 3.5 years from that point in time, computing power will be easily sufficient to perform the role of “The Beast”.
The article linked says that this advancement will take 10 years. This being said, a new era is here. An era where machines can design and build machines. As the performance gains in the last 10 years have exceeded forecasts, it is likely the gains in the next 3.5 years will surpass all expectations.
